Interested in Becoming a Lector?
The Ministry of Lector is an important liturgical ministry in the Catholic Church dating back to its earliest days. Lectors are baptized, practicing Catholics entrusted with proclaiming the Word of God during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. In Catholic worship, Scripture is not simply read aloud, but proclaimed as the living Word of God. Through prayerful preparation and respectful delivery, lectors help bring Sacred Scripture to life and share God’s message clearly with the assembled community.
Lectors receive preparation books to assist in preparing for the Liturgy of the Word. All are invited to join in this ministry to proclaim the Word of the Lord. Training is provided. Contact Len Johansing (470-8886).
